In the 27 years that I have been a realtor, I have been recognized as a top producer by the Westchester County Board of Realtors and have received awards for my accomplishments. I represent buyers and sellers in transactions ranging from $100,000 to $6,000,000. I have listed and sold homes and land from Croton and Somers to Chappaqua, Millwood, Bedford , Pound Ridge, Briarcliff, Armonk, Mount Kisco and Pleasantville. Helen Dorman has been our real estate broker for the sale of two homes and purchase of two homes.  She has been a delight to work with and has proven to be the ultimate professional. 

Selling our second home in a difficult market was a very time consuming task, but Helen was invaluable as she helped us to prepare our house for sale.  Her intelligence and attentiveness allowed her to fully understand our needs.  In fact, she knew before we did that the townhouse we eventually purchased would be just right for us. 

Helen also educated us on the current market and trends.  She not only recommended how to price our home but also patiently showed us how it compared to other properties.  All of this resulted in the sale of our house in a timely manner.  While others remained unsold on the market, we sold ours and happily settled in our new home.

In addition, Helen is an expert negotiator.  She makes the transactions pleasant while retaining good relationships with her colleague realtors.  She is efficient, discrete and always available to answer our questions and coach or encourage us with an almost immediate response (even when she was halfway around the world on vacation.)

With her upbeat demeanor and years of experience, Helen makes a stressful process less so.  In addition, the deep roots she has in the community combined with her extensive knowledge of the market make her a true partner throughout the process.  Her care and attention extend past contracts and closings, as she even helped us to find the best service people to tend to our new home.

I am writing this letter on behalf of Helen Dorman.  Helen is a most amazing real estate agent.  In an impossible market, she was able to sell our house for us in three weeks time.  Her advice was invaluable; not only for the immediate sale, but in advising us on what we should do in order to prepare our house for sale.  Helen advised us to remove our oil tank from the ground.  She advised us to redo our septic system.  Helen was able to advise us as to how to sell a house without central air conditioning in the middle of the hottest summer on record!  In addition, Helen’s contacts within the town of New Castle were invaluable. 

Not only did we find a great real estate agent with Helen, but a true friend as well. She was always there to answer our questions and to advise us when we were unsure about accepting a bid.  She’d call us just to make sure we were okay.
